West Coast California Style Inspired Renovation
This single family rancher style home with a bonus loft, designed and built in 1983 by a local Nanaimo architect was love at first sight for these homeowners. Extensive renovations were needed to update, but the clients goal was to preserve the integrity of this Modern West Coast California Style home by repairing the exterior and modernizing the interior.
This stunning transformation began with a complete exterior refresh, including updated siding and modern paint colors. A handcrafted contemporary wood fence, new deck, and concrete slab work to seamlessly complement the original modern style.
Inside, creative framing opened the floor plan, installing several engineered beams, allowing for a custom staircase with a glass railing system to access the bonus loft and an open concept dining room and kitchen which allowed for a large island with plenty of storage. Creative Concepts Construction’s in-house team constructed the custom cabinetry, including a built-in china cabinet under the stairs, large entertainment centre in the living room, new pantry, linen and master bed built in cabinetry and custom vanity’s in the bathroom. All-new tile and engineered oak hardwood flooring were installed throughout and new appliances, plumbing, electrical fixtures and granite countertops were expertly chosen with the help of Creative Concepts Construction’s trades and suppliers.
Working closely with the clients, Creative Concepts Construction once again delivered an exceptionally innovative renovation that blends timeless West Coast charm with modern elegance.
